Who runs this site
This site (a demo of the Maaraa Sangoku restaurant website) is operated by SolanaLink Inc. (ソラナリンク株式会社) ("we"). This policy explains what information we hold through this site and how we handle it, in accordance with Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other applicable laws.
What we collect
Reservations: your name (and its reading), email address, phone number, party size, date, time and course, what you tell us about allergies or ingredients to avoid, whether you prefer milder spice, and any other requests.
Account: your name and email address (when you sign in with an email link, Google or LINE). For members, your points history and the amount you have spent.
Table orders (QR code): the dishes and quantities you choose, and any allergens you ask us to avoid. We do not ask for your name.
Technical: cookies that keep you signed in, your IP address to prevent abuse, and the IP address and browser details recorded with consent decisions and staff actions.
Why we use it
To receive, confirm and communicate about your reservation, to let the kitchen take care of your allergies, to manage member points and gifts, to prevent abuse, and to meet our legal obligations. We do not use it for anything else.
Protecting phone numbers and allergy information
Your phone number and what you write about allergies or ingredients are encrypted before they are stored. Only authorised staff can view them, and every view is recorded.
Asking the AI about the food
The food concierge sends the question you type to an external AI service (xAI, United States) — and only if you have agreed to this. Your question is sent exactly as you type it. Please do not include your name, contact details or details of your health such as a diagnosis or symptoms; naming the ingredient you need to avoid (for example, peanuts) is enough for the concierge to answer. The allergy information you gave when booking is never sent. We do not store your question.
You can withdraw your agreement at any time on your account page. Saying no changes nothing about your booking or the care taken with your allergies. If this policy's version changes, we will ask you again.
The AI's answers are not a guarantee. If you have a severe allergy, please always tell our staff.
Payments
You never enter a card number on this site, and card details never reach our servers. Deposits are taken by bank transfer or at the restaurant, and we record only the amount and whether it has been received.
Service providers and third parties
We do not sell personal information. To run the service we use these providers: Google Cloud (hosting, Tokyo), PingCAP TiDB Cloud (database, Amazon Web Services Tokyo region), Amazon Web Services (content delivery and email), xAI (the AI concierge, only with your agreement, United States), and Google and LINE (if you sign in with them).
Except where the law requires it, we do not give your information to third parties without your consent.
How long we keep it
Reservation and member information is kept for as long as the service needs it and the law requires, then deleted or anonymised. Short-lived records used to prevent abuse expire within minutes to 24 hours. Database backups are kept for 30 days.
Cookies and storage on your device
Cookies are used only to keep you signed in and to block forged requests. We use no advertising or tracking cookies. While you order at a table, the dishes you pick are kept temporarily on your device (sessionStorage).

You can ask us to disclose, correct, delete or stop using your personal information. Please contact us using the details below.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the version and the date at the top of this page.
